These are my favourite games, which myself and the grandkids love to play. They're a little bit different and all can be made at home by you. I provide downloadable board and game instructions

Mancala Game of Ur Molkki Senet Daldos Twenty Squares
The first game I'm going to show you is the ancient Game of Ur.
This game of strategy for two people was discovered in the royal tombs at Ur in modern day Iraq and five of them were found in Tutankhamen's tomb on the reverse side of a Senet board.

There are a few interpretations of the game, I suppose the authoritative one is by Irving Finkel but one thing that's always niggled me is, if there are safe squares, why are they needed when it's not possible for the opposing player (in Finkel's rules) to land on them? So in my version each player lands on all twenty of the squares, making it a longer and more fun game.
The picture here, is the four and half thousand years old game found at UR with four of its playing pieces. You can buy authentic replicas or you can make your own board, It's quite simple and I have available for you a download of the board to print and the full instructions. A video of game play is on YouTube and here is the link to it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G3vFKYEUPHA

This is the board featured on the video and the equipment that you need.
1. Board
- 2. Counters (between 3 and 12 each, different colours)
- 3. Throwing sticks or a 4-sided dice
- The throwing sticks are just four lolly sticks painted black on one side and white on the other. Throw them and count how many white sticks land face up.
- The counters can be anything, coins, buttons, checkers pieces etc. But they must have a top and a bottom side. Mine, here, are made of air dried clay. The board can be downloaded below.
